About the Author
K.O. Kessey is a retired Mechanical Engineer by profession. After obtaining his doctorate degree in engineering in 1963 from the Columbia University, U.S.A., having been the First Ghanaian to do so, he taught Mechanical Engineering continuously in four leading Universities: the University of New York, U.S.A.; University of Calgary, Canada; Ahmadu Bello University, Nigeria; and the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana, where he retired from in 1992 as a Full Professor. Indeed, he taught in all the three cycles of education.
Some of his products include many highly-placed engineers and technocrats in Ghana and elsewhere as well as renowned dignitaries including some very prominent Paramount Chiefs of Ghanaian traditional areas and the present Head of State of his Homeland, His Excellency John Agyekum Kuffuor. Outside his extensive engineering study and profession, he studied and read widely English and Latin literature and has written poetry extensively in English. He has read his poems on the Voice of America. He has also published his first collection of poems entitled The Pages of Time and his autobiography in poetry entitled Names Like Glasses. He is a Life Patron of the International Biographical Association, Cambridge. K. O. Kessey is married with four children.
